We were lucky to ski in sunshine at Kalpalinna ski resort at AFTER WORK VALENTINE SKI event and celebrate Love and Friendship.

Jari Tähtinen had been skiing in Kalpalinna all ready in the 80´s and came to refresh old golden memories. Maaria Wallin started again an old hobby. Skiing is like driving a bike. So glad to know and learn to know you.
Having emotional support from friends keep you motivated to pursue your goals.
Valentine’s day is actually more clebrated as friendship day in Finland. A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.
Dress code was pretty in pink. Ski goggles are from Synsam. They are actually on sale right now!
I love my Finnish design skis. PUSU (in English kiss) was born from a love for pristine winter nature.

After Work Club started as Tie Club 1998. 2018 the name was changed to AFTER WORK MEN’s FAIR and was actually for men. 30% of our events visitors were women so today our club has two groups and most events are for everyone.

I used to play basketball in sport high school with Pia 35 years ago. Pia Winqvist is now the Finnish importer for Leonidas; exclusive Belgium chocolate. Her goal is to create moments of joy and pleasure for all lovers of high-quality Belgian chocolate. You can find her store in Espoo in the Iso Omena mall.

Johanna Hallikainen and her family were also hitting the slopes at Kalpalinna. I learnt to know Johanna threw business 25 years ago. She was in charge of Finland’s Entrepreneur organisations marketing and I used to produce their accessories www.bretelle.fi
Business friendship turned to real life friendship. <3 Johanna beside having a pure heart and great personality, she is very accurate and conscientious professional in her field.
An organisation, no matter how well designed, is only as good as the people who live and work in it.
To work with family; to see your kids grow, learn, develop and be happy. My biggest achievement.

AFTER WORK VALENTINE SKI menu was all about waffles with banana and chocolate. Can’t go wrong with that – also had some gluten free and milk free waffles. In Medieval Europe, the Catholic Church began making waffles to serve as a sort of companion to the communion wafer symbolizing blessings.
Kalpalinna ski resort has great future plans!
Kalpalinna Peak – a peak restaurant at the top of the mountain slope – in top of famous and notorious Competition Piste – offers a wide landscape view of the vast True Häme landscape – a scenic views to nearest cities. On the slope level, on the ground floor, a fine dining restaurant with representative sauna and pool facilities – On the sculptural upper floor, the alpine skiing museum and high end guest accommodation facilities. This part of the project is already in legal master plan – only waiting to be erected.
