My future started when I woke up, learnt my lesson, stood up. Healing is not a one day journey, but the only place I will fall again is a mountain – with a snowboard I’m totally on my knees.

The expert was once a beginner. If you are willing to learn, one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. Age is a number; trust me, bigger is not always better. Except in Japanese proverbs: ”Fall down 7 times, stand up 8”.

Every act of conscious learning requires the willingness to suffer an injury to one’s self-esteem -in snow boarding you can not avoid snow -sometimes closer to your face than feet. Humble becomes a familiar word.

Sometimes its good to fall down to see who will pick you up. But make no mistake, when you fall, you don’t get stronger only wiser.

51 year old woman and snowboarding for the very first time is not love at first thought but for sure love at first try. Its a perfect age to learn a new skill. I much rather break a leg than a heart. Can do both.. skiing too.
